Los mejores rascacielos de 2022 anunciados por el CTBUH

El Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) anunció el 17 de marzo los primeros rascacielos "excelentes" de 2022. Son edificios altos construidos en todo el mundo que cumplen los requisitos de excelencia establecidos por el CTBUH. Seleccionados por un jurado especial como ganadores del título "Best Tall Building Award of Excellence", compiten como finalistas en las diferentes categorías del premio. En efecto, los rascacielos se dividen en categorías y subcategorías, con la posibilidad de clasificar un edificio como “excelente” en varios ámbitos.
En esta primera fase, los edificios excelentes se anunciaron solo para algunas categorías principales, como la altura (subcategorías: menos de 100 metros, 100-199 metros, 200-299 metros, 300-399 metros y más de 400 metros) y la función (subcategorías: oficinas, mixto y residencial). Más adelante, se harán públicos los finalistas para las categorías ingeniería, construcción, interiorismo y hábitat urbano.

Las obras seleccionadas representan la excelencia, la innovación y la creatividad alcanzadas en el sector de la construcción de edificios altos. Además, como ha subrayado Karl Fender, presidente del jurado Best Tall Building y socio fundador del estudio Fender Katsalidis Architects, estas obras arquitectónicas son ejemplos virtuosos de los conceptos de “urbanismo vertical sostenible” promovidos por el CTBUH. Precisamente a la búsqueda y definición de un ideal de “urbanismo vertical” estará dedicado el congreso internacional que el CTBUH promueve anualmente y que para 2022 tendrá lugar del 9 al 12 de noviembre de 2022 en Chicago, con el título: "Tall Excellence: Seeking the Ideal in Vertical Urbanism”. Durante la conferencia también se anunciarán los ganadores de cada categoría y del título más importante, el Overall Best Tall Building Worldwide.

Entre los edificios excelentes hay también dos rascacielos de los que hemos hablado recientemente en las páginas de Floornature. En "Best Tall Building under 100 meters" ha sido seleccionado el Museum of The Future de Dubái, proyectado por Killa Design y en "Best Tall Office Building" la torre Trinity del distrito de La Défense de París, diseñada por el estudio Cro&Co Architecture.
