La exposición del Mori Art Museum es la primera que aporta una panorámica completa del movimiento, con más de 500 documentos y reflexiones válidas también para las problemáticas contemporáneas.
Se exponen por primera al público japonés vez unos 80 proyectos, explicados mediante maquetas, dibujos, esbozos, fotografías y reportajes de archivo. En particular, se presentan obras arquitectónicas proyectadas y realizadas por los arquitectos "metabolistas" a partir del que se considera precursor del movimiento, el arquitecto Kenzo Tange con el Hiroshima Peace Center.
